A Place for students to extend their creativity to levels beyond the curriculm. To focus on larger ideas, and to pursue the dreams through their Artistic Albilities. To push further through expression, ideas and justification. This website is created for students who wish to pursue the Arts and display achievements for further education.
DES 1910 ART MEDIA PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT 3CREDITS / 75 HOURS+
This project will give students the opportunity to experience skills and off-campus collaboration with an Art Coordinator at AGA: Art Gallery of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta. Student will learn hands on skills, public relations and increased awareness of Artists and working environments while beginning their own portfolio development. Incorporating Business is to ensure a solid understanding of creating an entrepreneurial business plan for Artistic endeavors. Workplace Safety is to ensure a safe environment for student achievement outside school parameters. Students will gain knowledge of business features within the Art Gallery of Alberta, and acquire expertise on beginning to build a Web Page Portfolio of Art work. This program would be ongoing throughout grade ten, eleven, and twelve to essentially build a sound portfolio for submission to post secondary institutions such as ACAD, University of Alberta, or Banff Centre. Work experience and résumé would be included within the Web Page Portfolio, and links and references that would benefit the students’ repertoire. Please click on AGA box below to proceed to website.
